I've been reading a lot of Atomic Robo and Five Fists of Science this week and so Nicola Tesla is high on my mind. While there has not been a followup since this second version of the story, don't count out another Simon and Emma adventure any time soon… five-fists-of-science-01. If you are truly interested in watching Tesla and Edison go at it, with robot suits, lasers, and Chthulian creatures you should check out The Five Fists of Science comic written by Matt Fraction and drawn by Steven Sanders. I was lured to this work because of the focus on both Nikola Tesla and Mark Twain fighting evil, but also historical, figures in a pulp pseudo-horror fashion. The “five fists” are Nicola Tesla, Mark Twain (more of a science cheerleader in the book, but whatever), and a one-armed junior-level assistant named Timmy. Comic book fans might point out that this seems a little similar to the Matt Fraction book The Five Fists of Science, and they're not wrong, but you'd have to admit — The Five Fists of Science would make an awesome cartoon.
